There was a time before wherein buying crude products would only cost you a
little over a dollar. However, due to the startling need for that commodity,
their prices have steadily increased over time.
Crude products are an indispensable factor within our society. The idea of
living without fuel is scary. The whole society is dependent on it and will
surely be paralyzed without it. So as the demands for gas increases, we can be
sure that the increase in prices will follow.
If our fuel source is mined from the United States, there would likely not be
any problem with the price of fuel. But since we import our fuel from countries
in the Middle East, we have no other choice but to shoulder all the taxes and
fees for importing it, and this makes fuel all the more expensive.
Compared to gas fuel, diesel fuel is cheaper. (although where I live in Southern California the prices for diesel are about 10 cents higher per gsallon)But, it is very ironic to realize
that we have very few stores selling diesel fuel even though diesel fuel is
produced within the United States.
It is dismaying to encounter that considering the overall advantage of using
diesel fuel to gas fuel, gas fuel is still in abundance compared to diesel fuel
here in the United States. One may wonder, with the abundance of diesel fuel
here, why are there so little gas stations selling it? |
